We request that you and your party RSVP by June 1st in the listed RSVP tab. You can make changes to your party or request special dietary accommodations there. If anything changes after June 1st, please call or text either one of us (Alyssa, 269 680 2081) (Joseph, 269 873 9700).
We would like to make sure that we are able to spend time with all of the guests that we have invited to our wedding. So, we have included on each invitation the names of those who are invited to attend, including children and plus-ones. We appreciate the long list of people who want to support us, and if we could, we would have everyone there.
We have chosen a Sunday brunch to provide a less formal than black-tie experience (Zola.com tells us that the dress code we are looking for is called "Garden Attire"). If you are looking for some direction, here are some examples. For men, lighter suits or slacks, polos, untucked dress shirts are great examples. For women, floral-patterned-anything, sundresses, skirts, blouses, and sandals are all great. Many of the grounds are grassy, so stiletto heels may become uncomfortable, and Michigan can boast some warm and sunny days in July, so please wear something that you will be comfortable in. If possible, no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts please.
The Barn at Monterey Valley is located at 2756 28th St. in Allegan, MI. Our venue is located just a few miles Northwest of the Shelbyville exit (exit 61) on US-131. The venue is located on a dirt stretch of road, so just keep going when the tarmac ends.
Parking should be straightforward. Our venue will post signs to their free, on-site lot, and we will have an attendant ready to help guests park in the proper area.
Our wedding venue will be prepared to welcome you 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Feel free to grab beverages and mingle before the ceremony begins. For guests needing accommodations, there will be a golf cart on-site to provide transportation across the grounds before and after the ceremony.
The Barn at Monterey Valley is a beautiful indoor and outdoor venue. Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outside, and during our coffee-hour and later portion of our reception, you can choose to stay inside or explore the grounds. A seated brunch will be served inside. We recommend that guests dress accordingly (i.e. for the late-July-heat) based upon weather forecasts for the day. If rain arises unexpectedly, umbrellas will be provided!
We have chosen to have a dry wedding, but we intend to have an open coffee and espresso bar and assorted beverages in lieu of alcohol.
Please let us know if you need special dietary provisions. When you RSVP, there will be a section to indicate any special needs. We have chosen to serve brunch, and we anticipate options for all diets to be well represented.
Yes! If you would like to, you can find it on this website under the Registry heading.
We would sincerely prefer that guests remain off of all of their devices during the entirety of our ceremony. We trust our amazing photographer to capture the photos of our day, and we will be so excited to share them with you once we get them back.
