We are so excited to celebrate with you

We met playing music together in the pit orchestra for a production with the Marshall Civic Players. Though neither of us were from the area nor from each other's town, friends in the cast convinced us to participate in the production. Sitting side-by-side, a friendship developed quickly, and our shared love of music led us to one another.

After nearly five years together, we both knew that our futures were tied, but summer 2022 brought us to separate sides of the globe. While Joseph studied abroad in France, musical obligations brought Alyssa to Oklahoma, and these trips only confirmed our future together. Immediately after both of us had returned to the area, we visited Saint Joseph for a nice dinner and a happy reunion after time apart. As the sun was setting over Lake Michigan, we took a walk along the beach to close out the night. At that point, he got on his knees to ask. With friends around to celebrate, we enjoyed our what would be the end of our days apart and our promises of forever.
