Joseph and Kerri met at work in 2022. Neither particularly looking to start a relationship, but sometimes the right person just walks into your life. Kerri initially thought Joey was handsome but was hesitant around him, fearing him and his colleague were placed into the office to spy on day to day conversations and practices of the current staff. (He was also incredibly observant and quiet, which did not help sell his case that he was not placed there for spying!) Joey’s first impression of Kerri was that she had beautiful eyes (Covid-Era, so most of her face was covered by a mask) but she seemed very uncertain around him. As the weeks passed and they spent time interacting during lunches, Joey began to love her humor, confidence, and the kindness with which she treated others. Kerri started to notice that the more time she spent with Joey, and chipped away at his reserved exterior, he showed pieces of himself to her and others that were so hard not to love. He was kind, patient, and had the funniest, unexpected one-liners that could immediately bring a smile to her face. Kerri soon realized this was someone she wanted to chip away at more, and bring smiles to his face the way he did to hers. So began her several months long mission of asking him on dates- most gone turned down, before one invitation was finally accepted. Joey and Kerri kept a secret office relationship for a few months, but about one month in, when Joey transferred offices, they both realized they had something special. They both saw the potential in their future partner, how their lives together could be. Both understanding that neither wanted to be without the other, and their relationship has developed and flourished ever since.
