San JosĂŠ International Airport (SJO) is the closest major airport to Villa Punto de Vista and Villa Costa Vida in Manuel Antonio. If you live in the New Jersey area, you can find direct flights out of Newark (EWR) and JFK.

Shuttle Van from SJO to Manuel Antonio: ⢠Up to 4 passengers: $200 / one way trip ⢠$15 per additional passenger, up to 16 passengers total Villa Punto de Vista is coordinating ground transportation to and from the airports, but can also assist with transport from other locations. For example, we are arriving a few days early and Villa Punto de Vista is arranging transportation from the town Jaco to Manuel Antonio. By car, the drive from San JosĂŠ International Airport to the villas takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic and weather. The route is scenic and takes you through Costa Ricaâs lush central valleys and coastal highways before arriving at the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio. There will be stops along the way in order to get food and sightseeing at Crocodile Bridge (Puente Tarcoles). If you wish to coordinate on your own, there are many other private companies offer this service as well, but the coordinated villa vans are your easiest, most cost-effective option.

The 25 minute propeller plane flight offers stunning aerial views of Costa Ricaâs coastline and mountains. It is recommend booking your flight from SJO to QXP in advance as seats can fill up quickly and there a limited number of flights per day. The villa will send an email requesting your travel itinerary in order to coordinate the shuttle vans with other guests. If you wish to coordinate on your own, there are many other private companies offer this service as well.
Rental Car
Airport Rental Vehicles Options include: Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Nationalâ¨The villas do not help with booking Airport rental cars. Booking a rental car is the responsibility of the guest. Parking at the villa is limited, but available. You will need to discuss with your villa concierge if planning to have a rental car. A car with four-wheel drive is typically recommended for Costa Rica. However, the main routes from both airports are paved and generally do not require four-wheel drive. If you plan to explore off the main roads or visit more remote areas, it's best to rent a vehicle with four-wheel drive to be safe. Tip: If you are planning to rent a car, consider researching rental car insurance options, such as those offered by your credit card company, as this can help you save on costs.
