San José International Airport (SJO) is the closest major airport to Villa Punto de Vista in Manuel Antonio. If you live in the NJ area, you can find direct flights out of Newark (EWR) and JFK

Getting to (and from) Manuel Antonio

There are 3 main options to get from SJO to Manuel Antonio: 1. Van 🚐 2. Plane 🛩️ 3. Rental car 🚙 The villa coordinates transportation from the airport if you opt for van shuttle or connecting flight, so expect an email requesting your flight itinerary.

Sprinter Van, or similar shuttle van: • 1 to 4 passengers, 2-12 bags: $200.00 • $15 per additional passenger • Up to 16 passengers total By car, the drive from San José International Airport to Villa Punto de Vista takes approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather. The route is scenic and takes you through Costa Rica’s lush central valleys and coastal highways before arriving at the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio. There will be stops along the way in order to get food and sightseeing at crocodile bridge. The villa will send an email requesting your travel itinerary in order to coordinate the shuttle vans with other guests. If you wish to coordinate on your own, there are many other private companies offer this service as well.

Quepos Airport (XQP)

Shared Flight: • 25 min. transfer flight from SJO to Quepos • Land 15 mins from the villas • 85 - $100/person If you prefer a quicker and more scenic option to reach Villa Punto de Vista, you can book a domestic flight from San José International Airport (SJO) to Quepos Airport (XQP). The 25 minute flight offers stunning aerial views of Costa Rica’s coastline and mountains.

Domestic flights are operated by Sansa Airlines, which depart directly from the domestic terminal (Terminal Doméstica) located just a short walk from the main international terminal at SJO. We recommend booking your flight in advance, as seats can fill up quickly, especially during high season. We can help coordinate ground transportation from the airport to the villas, a 15-20 min drive

Airport Rental Vehicles—booked by guest, options include: Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National A car with four-wheel drive is typically recommended for Costa Rica. However, the main routes from both airports are paved and generally do not require four-wheel drive. If you plan to explore off the main roads or visit more remote areas, it's best to rent a vehicle with four-wheel drive to be safe. Tip: If you are planning to rent a car, consider researching rental car insurance options, such as those offered by your credit card company, as this can help you save on costs.
