Joselyn and Owen's first date was at Down and Derby, a notorious event where people roller skated inside a dive bar in Pittsburgh, PA. Owen took Joselyn roller skating as a ploy to show her his immense talent on the rink floor. While she was indeed impressed by his spins and mind-shattering balance, she was taken with how kind he was to his friends and everyone that fell (due to the alcohol + skating combination).
