The couple recommends staying at one of many downtown Lincoln hotels (a few are linked below), since the majority are within a 10-minute walking distance of the Newman Center (wedding mass location), and some offer free shuttle services throughout the downtown area.
PARKING
Parking outside the Newman Center is limited; please note that the Lutheran Chapel lot and the University "A" lot across from the church are NOT available for wedding guests.
Parking meters on the surrounding blocks run $1.25 an hour and run between the hours of 8AM-6PM from Monday through Saturday.
Parking garages are also available throughout downtown Lincoln at a rate of $1.25 / hour (first hour is free). The closest garage to the Newman Center is located at 13th & "Q" streets.
Please note that if making air travel arrangements, Lincoln is located about 1 hour by car from Omaha, NE, which may offer a wider selection of flights an prices. Both Lincoln and Omaha airports are linked below.

The Lincoln airport is located about 10 minutes from the downtown area. Transportation from the airport to downtown include rental car options, rideshare apps (Uber & Lyft), and a taxi service (ZTrip).

Please note that the Omaha airport is about 1 hour by car from Lincoln. Rental cars and rideshare apps (Uber & Lyft) are available, along with OmaLink, a formal shuttle service between the Omaha airport and Lincoln (www.omalink.com).
