Link your credit card or use a service like Alipay Tour Pass for foreign cards. Cash: Although mobile payments are prevalent, some smaller vendors may still accept cash. It’s advisable to exchange some currency upon arrival. Currency: The Chinese Yuan (CNY or RMB). It’s a good idea to bring cash to exchange at the airport or local banks. While rates may vary, exchanging at banks like Bank of China is generally reliable. ATMs may also offer currency withdrawal with international cards.
