Our relationship began, as many do in this day and age, with Tinder. Perla was the first to send a message, as she often reminds Jose. Our first date was at a cafe for lunch but turned into a 7 hour hang out. From then on we saw each other as often as possible.

I knew Perla wanted a special moment for her proposal and I sought out help from her closest friends. Once I had the ring, I planned the day out. Perlas girlfriends invited her to a brunch at Menil Park (the location of our second date) and I enlisted our roommate Ross to play the guitar softly during the surprise. She may have not been 100% surprised but she said yes! And I had a celebration planned and waiting for us back at the house with friends, decorations, and food.
