They began communicating online at Thanksgiving. "I was sick", Brandon starts out, "and he wanted to come over and meet regardless. When he would write to me, every word and phrase spoke to my heart." They decided to go on a date that first week in December. "When I first met him I was so nervous," Jose says, "I didn't know if it was really happening because he was just so handsome and perfect." Brandon continues, "Jose showed up looking very dapper and we walked arm and arm to dinner together. We walked past where we're having our wedding, St. John's in the Wilderness Cathedral." Jose adds, "The rest of the walk was pretty humorous! It had just snowed and there was ice all over the streets. I kept having to catch Brandon from slipping and falling!" Brandon says, "I wore the good shoes so I needed a little help that night." And goes on, "After the date Jose walked me to the door and he kissed me like no man ever had. A gentlemanly kiss. Then he turned around and walked away. I've been waiting for that moment a long time...my whole life." They both smile at each other and the story seems to be over. Brandon says after a while, "We have many more stories that solidify the reason we're committing our lives together but it's nice to to know that that was our first." Jose smiles and says, "I'm a sucker for a good story. I think about all the little tales we can tell our future kids and that brings a smile to my face."
