The Wedding Website of Rose Nelson and Jon Green
There will be a block of rooms available for guests at The Carleton of Oak Park Hotel. That hotel is close to our new house, where we will be hosting an after-wedding party. There are many other hotels around Chicago at a variety of price points if you want something else. A shuttle will be available from the Carleton of Oak Park Hotel to the Garfield Park Conservatory at 4:30 on the day of the wedding. The shuttle will offer return service to the Carleton Hotel after dinner. The final trip of the night will drop guests at our house for the afterparty. Below you will also find some basic information about public transit around the Chicago area.

Train

Chicago L Train

The L train system consists of several different lines that snake through the city. Each line is named after a different color. For example, the Blue Line travels from O'Hare, through Wicker Park, through the loop, and west to Forest Park. The Garfield Park Conservatory is right by the Green Line. You can get a few different ticket types at any L station and refill your tickets on the Ventra App. We recommend getting a 3-day pass if you plan on being here for the whole weekend.

Train

Metra Chicago

The Metra Train system includes several lines that travel from downtown Chicago to Suburbs and even other states in all directions. You can buy a ticket or multi-day pass for the Metra on the Ventra App or at some stations.
