Things To Do

If the loop, the bean, portillos, and Al Capone are the first things that spring to mind when you think of Chicago, consider taking this weekend as an opportunity to get to know the rich tapestry of neighborhoods that make up the rest of the city. Or get a slice of deep dish and go to the bean. We do love that on occasion. The wedding is at the Garfield Park Conservatory, which is just a little bit west of Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village, where Rose grew up and Jon and Rose live now. This area is full of great food, intriguing galleries, and beautiful parks. An asterisk indicates that a location was part of our engagement scavenger hunt in October of 2023.

We proposed to each other in Maggie Daley park after a weekend of exploring our favorite spots. Located in downtown Chicago, near Millennium Park, including the Bean, Navy Pier, and the Art Institute of Chicago, this is also a great place to go for some sightseeing and tourism.
