This is our story! Jorge and I met over 5 years ago. We bonded initially over my recent trip to Ecuador - I was amused by the coincidence of meeting someone from Ecuador under a month after I had returned - and I think he was just amused, well, by me! We laughed a lot and talked about Latin American politics (nerd alert), tested my Spanish skills (still unclear whether I passed), and talked about the journey of life. We clicked. In our first year together, we saw each other through Jorge passing the NY and NJ bars, getting his first job as a lawyer, and my hustle to get into grad school. I knew Jorge was the one for me when he accompanied me through my GRE prep in numerous Brooklyn cafes, and then sat up all night recording my entrance video to grad school. I think he taped me 100 times. He knew I was the one for him when I shared my love of watching 90's music videos ... it's how it ends that matters, right? I've got to say, Jorge and I have built a pretty special life together: visiting family in Minnesota and Florida, traveling to cool spots, spending time with our amazing friends, and seeing each other grow in our careers. We couldn't be happier to have found our other half who shares the values of compassion, equity, ambition, and adventure. We are honored for our community--each of you who has made an incredible impact in our lives--to join us as we get married in New Orleans. Thank you for your continual love and support.
