Thomas Jefferson's residence from the 1700's with lots of history, tours and beautiful scenery! Definitely worth checking out for all the history buffs! 5 miles from downtown Charlottesville

If you go north you are on Skyline drive, if you go south you are on Blue Ridge Parkway. Both have unbelievable views, challenging and novice based hikes, and is a must since you will be here in peak foliage season. This is outside of the city so best if you are driving to and from the wedding. Blue Ridge Parkway is free and Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park is $30/vehicle for a week long pass. Skyline Drive takes 3 hours to drive the complete 105 mile stretch with 4 entrances from Front Royal to Waynesboro.
Probably one of the most jaw dropping views out of all of the wineries in the Charlottesville area. You will feel like a princess arriving to her castle going up the winding roads to the tasting room!
The wedding will be held on the same property. The tasting room will be open prior to the wedding so a great place for pre wedding drinks! There is also a putt putt course!
Bring your own food and have a picnic in a big lawn! Polo matches on Sundays. Oh and you can pet horses.
