Mother and Father of the Bride
Elizabeth and Chris are Jordyn's parents. They've been together for 30 years, and had an incredibly large part in making this day possible. We are beyond grateful for the two of them! By day, Elizabeth is an English professor at the University of Akron, and Chris is a retired chief from Summit County Sheriff's Department. The rest of the time, they are both voracious readers/audiobook listeners, big travelers, and essentially superheroes in their second round of raising kids.
Melissa DuPratt & Dave Sayers
Mother and Stepfather of the Groom
Melissa, Hayden's mom, and Dave, her boyfriend, are huge parts of our lives. Melissa is the reason our relationship was defined, and Dave has been incredible in making sure we're always fed enough for 100 people. Melissa is an administrator for a childcare facility in Kent, and Dave is a plant manager for a company in Applecreek. Both are plant parents, fantastic cooks, and avid card players.
Colleen Cain
Maid of Honor
Colleen is Jordyn's best friend from... forever. They met in 1st grade, but became inseparable in 6th grade. While Colleen has been living in Kentucky for the past few years, we've stayed very close and she has been incredibly supportive in our relationship. Colleen is a Child Life Specialist at Norton Children's in Louisville Kentucky, a wonderful musician, and has the sweetest black lab named Luna.
Alec Rufener
Best Man
Alec is Hayden's brother-in-law. Engineer by day, West Virginia superfan by day and night. Dog dad to Tucker and Brenna's husband, Alec is a great friend and brother to both Hayden and Jordyn!
Madison Patterson
Matron of Honor
Maddi is Jordyn's cousin, but is really her sister. She's also a child life specialist and Akron Children's, mom to two sweet little boys (check the ring bearers!), and best sister-cousin on the planet <3
Rob McCready
Groomsman
Robert made his entrance to Hayden's life during Akron's fire academy and continued to stick around. Rob is also a firefighter for Akron, and is finishing up Medic school to become a paramedic. He has been an invaluable friend to Hayden, and there have been more than a few Mario Kart game nights and nights out with him and his girlfriend Callie.
Brenna Rufener
Bridesmaid
Brenna, as stated previously, gets the majority of the credit for this wedding happening. She facilitated the introduction as Jordyn's coworker and Hayden's sister. She's a speech therapist like Jordyn, and married to Hayden's best man Alec. She is a dog-mom to Tucker, and soon to be Mom to little Lila! She's beyond important to both of us, and we can't thank her enough not only for introducing us, but being there for us throughout our relationship.
Tyler Hughes
Groomsman
Tyler is a long time friend of Hayden's. They met working at Summit Racing, and now he is an incredibly talented welder! Both he and his wife Gabby have become great friends to us.
Kourtny Skiljan
Bridesmaid
Kourtny was an unexpected friend that popped into Jordyn's life in the last year. She works as a radiology tech at Akron City Hospital where she met Jordyn, and where they quickly became friends. While neither of us can figure out quite how we became such good friends, for the last year we've really been inseparable. Kourtny, like Jordyn, is a voracious reader, dog mom to Remy, and a big hockey fan.
Tyler Smith

Hayden and Tyler also met working at Summit Racing. Though shared suffering during late night shifts, they became good friends. Both were recently a part of The Hughes' wedding, and we're thrilled to have the gang back together for ours!
Heather Stewart
Bridesmaid
Jordyn and Heather met during graduate school at Kent state, both studying to become speech therapists. They bonded over their struggle and remained close friends after school. Heather is also a reading machine, loves corgis, and is just about the kindest person we know.
Bryan Williams

Bryan and Hayden also met in Akron's Fire Academy. Bryan has recently graduated medic school, and continues his career as a fire medic with Hayden and Rob for Akron Fire.
Alyssa Franklin

Alyssa is Jordyn's cousin. Only six months apart, we were nearly inseparable as kids. She is newly into sourdough breads, loves reading, and relaxing riding her horse Pistol.
Greyson Henderson

Little surprise: Hayden met Greyson... also at work! However, Hayden and Greyson work together at Springfield Fire.
Peyton Frye

Peyton, Jordyn's cousin, is an animal and baby lover. She is the best with her little cousins Knox and Bo, and is quite the artist!

Travis, Jordyn's cousin, is an audiobook listening fiend, loves to build Legos, and loves watching videos.
