We went here for our first date! Bryant asked me, "What's your favorite kind of food?" I responded, "Probably Japanese or Mexican!" He told me, "Well I've got an awesome Israeli place I think you'll love for our first date!" (I'm not big on Mediterranean food...) This is when I learned to trust Bryant's opinion. This is by far one of the best restaurant spots in the city. The fried chicken hummus is a MUST!
This is where we took my mom and stepdad on the night they first met Bryant. It was also my first time trying Jacques-Imo's! It quickly became a fam favorite. It may sound outlandish but the Shrimp and Alligator Sausage Cheesecake is to die for.
Located close to our hotel, the Carousel Bar & Lounge is a rotating bar (like a carousel) housed inside of Hotel Monteleone. They have light bites, great cocktails and live entertainment Wednesday - Saturday! This is one of mine & Bryant's favorites.
Bryant found this hidden gem nestled in the French Quarter one night as a cocktail hour spot before a date of ours (it was a surprise date and it was a True Crime pub crawl- he knows me so well). Manolito is a favorite and is actually where we went right before he proposed to me in Jackson Square. It holds a special place in our hearts and we highly recommend it to you!
Like I said, Bryant and I love listening to live music. Frenchmen Street is a hotspot for music & dancing- specifically at Bamboula's. Music ranges from jazz to zydeco depending on the day and performers. Check out Bamboula's if you're looking for a drink and a band!
