Things To Do
Waterside District
This is where we went ended our first date! We walked around downtown Norfolk and got dessert at The Fudgery. This is also where we got engaged! Down by the water, on a bench next to the flags and the Mermaid Statue.
Mount Trashmore Park
A fun park for all ages, there's a walking path and a skate park! Matt spends a lot of time at the skate park while Jordan walks the path around the lake. We live close by and find ourselves here often!
Chic's Beach
Jordan's favorite beach! There's not always a ton of parking - so get there early to secure a spot!
Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk
The main "tourist attraction" to Virginia Beach! It will be off season in April but that means less crowds and beautiful views. Don't forget to check out The Neptune Statue on 31st Street!
Waterman's Surfside Grille
Amazing restaurant on the boardwalk with (free) valet parking - just don't forget to tip the drivers! We love going for the crab dip and the burgers.
The Shack
A fun outdoor bar with Virginia Beach's famous Crushes. Jordan's favorite is the Black Cherry Limeade, Matt gets a Modelo.
Town Center of Virginia Beach
In the heart of Virginia Beach, Jordan & Matt live 5 minutes away and spend a lot of time here eating, shopping, and getting coffee at Towncenter Cold Pressed. It's smaller but fun to walk around and shop with plently of places to get some amazing food (Check out Quirks!)
First Landing State Park
Plently of moderate hiking trails, access to the beach, and camping grounds! Jordan use to "camp" here with family friends during the summers. Matt loves to go on hikes here!
Virginia Zoo
This is where we went on our first "hang out". It was the summer after we met, we were still getting to know each other at this point but had so much fun walking around & riding the train. (P.S. Jordan's first job was at the zoo, working in the Goat Yard & Australia yard)
Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art
A fun, interactive museum that Matt & Jordan visited for one of their "hangouts". This is where Matt asked Jordan on a first date!
Virginia Aquarium
Fun place to spend the day when the weather isn't cooperating.
