We're getting married!

We met on ODU's campus during the spring semester of our freshman year. Matt had an evening class with Jordan's roommate, Brianna. Jordan would come home from work around the time Matt and Brianna's class ended. There was a late-night dining hall in the dorm across the street that we would all go to for dinner after work or class. We had missed each other the first few dinners, hearing a lot about each other in between, but hadn't officially met. Eventually, our schedules aligned, and we had a big group dinner with another class friend. We got to know each other at these dinners and planned to hang out that summer. We went to the Zoo first that summer, where Matt listened to Jordan ramble on with weird animal facts she learned while working there. There were a few more of these "hangouts" that summer, including one to watch the fireworks at Mount Trashmore on the Fourth of July. Jordan's parents were hosting a small party and moved the party to the front yard to watch (intimidate) Matt as he picked her up. Finally, Matt asked Jordan out on a date, where we went mini-golfing, had dinner in downtown Norfolk, and ended up at The Waterside District for dessert. Five years later, Matt proposed in the same area where we sat on our first date. We are learning to be adults together and cannot wait to grow old together. Thank you for being part of our story!
