FAQs

If you have any other questions than what is listed here, please reach out to Page at 318-757-5550.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding is black tie optional. This is the next most formal wedding dress code and usually means the wedding is an evening event. Men have the option of wearing a tuxedo, or they can wear a formal dark suit, white shirt, and conservative tie. Women may wear a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.

Question

How do I fill out my R.S.V.P. card?

Answer

You just simple write your name as it appears on the envelope where the "M" is. The "M" is the start of Mr. or Ms. and then you just check if you will be attending or not according to what you will be doing. You can then answer the questions at the bottom if they apply to you. Then just simply place it in the envelope, seal it, and send it back. It is pre-stamped so it is ready to go, and thank you so much. Receiving these cards back in a timely manner means so much and makes it easier for us.

Question

Can I R.S.V.P online?

Answer

Yes, you absolutely can. All you have to do Is click the RSVP tab on the ribbon at the top of this page. It will have a place to put in your name the way that it is written on your envelope. It will pull you up and then you will just follow the simple instructions and that is all.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

As of right now it looks like of the day of the wedding the high will be 86 degrees, with a low of 63. Sunset is set for 7:55 p.m.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The wedding and the reception will both take place at the Dunleith Historic Inn. The ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting, and the reception will take place both indoors and outdoors.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Any GPS should take you straight to Dunleith. They have a black fence and gate. You will drive through the gate, where security will ask to see your details card that was sent as part of your invitation. Once you have presented them with the card, they will direct you around to the back of the home where you will be directed to park. There will be golf carts shuttling those that wish to use the service.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6 p.m. so I would get there in enough time to park and make your way to your seat before that time.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes and no. We ask that you please do not take photos during the ceremony, but before or after the ceremony we would love for you to take pictures. Also yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #huffilyeverafter so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, we have a block at the Hampton Inn and Suites. If you mention the Huff-Jordan wedding when booking you will receive a special rate. If you are looking for other accommodations there are several listed on "Travel" tab of this website.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

April 15th is the deadline on the cards, but later is better than never I suppose. Your RSVP envelope is pre-stamped so all that is needed is for you to put the names of who is attending and if you will attend or decline and mail it back. You also can RSVP here and we will be notified immediately.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, they absolutely are. If you are in need of wheelchair access please make someone aware, and we will gladly help accommodate you.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be lots of food and drinks. There will be an open bar, coffee, soft drinks, tea, water. There will also be lots of yummy food that everyone can partake in and of course there will be cake.
