Matron of Honor
Liv and Rachel met during the first year of pharmacy school through their involvement in the dual PharmD/PhD program. While their paths went separate ways with Rachel pursing patient care and Liv pursing her love of research, the two were inseparable. Their friendship has conquered rigorous years of higher education and several moves that would take them thousands of miles apart. But their mutual love of being nerdy, all things Mardi Gras, and dancing the night away will forever unite them as bestest friends.
Maid of Honor
Caitlin and Rachel first met at the respective ages of 10 and 11 through competitive swimming. Through countless hours of swim practice, swim meets, and other forms of torture, sorry, *training*, they developed a strong and abiding friendship. Despite Rachel moving to Memphis during high school, the two remained best friends. Trips to visit one another in their respective cities has become a semi-annual event, and the time together is never lacking in fun, friendship, and laughter. The two still share a love of fitness, even meeting up to run races together, but neither are afraid to glam it up either, even if it means getting a little glitter in their hair!
Best Man
Jordan and Matt met in second grade. They spent countless weekends walking, skateboarding, or biking the 0.8 mile trek between their houses. Matt was the first to get a PlayStation, so naturally, his house became the norm for hangouts–not to mention his proximity to our school, a choice skate spot. As they matured, they grew together in many ways and apart in others. They literally grew apart when Matt moved across the country to British Columbia, Canada; but moved back a few years later. They rented their first apartment together in 2010; which must have been quite the traumatic experience for Matt, because he returned to Canada the following year. Fortunately their friendship is strong and they've weathered the sporadically changing distance in their lives with grace.
Best Man
Jason is Jordan's older brother and the middle child of the family. This becomes quite apparent, despite the family's already boisterous tendencies, when he cuts loose a little and allows his voice its natural intensity. The observation of his brother's oftentimes unbound exuberance taught Jordan the value of restraint. As the younger brother, Jordan learned many things from Jason including how to play with G.I. Joes, how to play video games, and how to kiss a girl–an unavoidable consequence of the six year age gap between the two. Although the age gap stifled some attempts at fraternal bonding, it allowed Jason to become an early role model of what it means to be a man, a loving husband, and a caring father.
