Maid of Honor
Cori (call her Corissa to really grind her gears) and Jordan have been together since age 3 when they met in Mrs. Gas’ preschool class. They have been causing mayhem ever since. Cori shares Jordan's Christmas obsession, her favorite color is bright yellow and her laugh is one of the best you'll ever hear. Back in the day, these two could frequently be found tooling around A-Town, (that’s A-Town lingo for Algonquin, IL) or goofing off in band and orchestra rehearsals. Today their go-to is belting angsty mid-2000s songs in the car on the way to a protest.
Best Man
CJ is Tommy’s older brother. Though he and his wife Carlea are currently kickin it in St. Louis, CJ and Tommy were once bunkmates, with CJ (top bunk) leaning over the side to beat Tommy with a pillow any time he’d snore. That’s Jordan’s problem now, but CJ and Tommy will always share a snobbish taste in beer and a love for NBA stats. They also share an ongoing disagreement over who is hotter – Demi Lovato or Selena Gomez. Who would you side with?
Bridesmaid
Erin is one of Jordan’s best friends, her college roommate and also, coincidentally, her doppleganger. Also known as EE, or E-Ri to the Unnn, this half human/half mermaid lived down the hall from Jordan their freshman year in University Hall at DePaul and they’ve been singing and dancing together ever since. Sidenote, Erin shares Jordan’s amusement of bodily functions (read: farts) and her love of potatoes.
Groomsman
Freshman year at North Central College, Tommy stumbled across his dorm hall to find a bearded man with a guitar and video games – the start of a beautiful friendship. These two went on to become roommates, orientation staff teammates, and frequent flyers at Kaufman Dining Hall’s weekend brunch. Today they’re often found roaming around Elmhurst in search of pizza and beer.
Bridesmaid
Nicole Popovich Dean and Jordan go all the way back to the 7th grade, where shooting off rockets in Presidential Park (amid subzero temperatures) got them to the Illinois State Science Fair. Go team! Jordan and Nicole also spent most of their free time throughout middle and high school riding their bikes around A-Town or at the Algonquin Academy of Dance, frolicking through ballet and tap rehearsals.
Groomsman
If you’re looking for a Grand Theft Auto guru, Stephen Kossak is your guy. He is Tommy’s junior year roommate and always had the best costumes for the theme parties they’d attend at the Pancake House. Stephen also galavanted around London with Tommy and Jordan during study abroad, singing Waterloo by ABBA and exploring all the touristy sites – the three of them truly had no idea how complicated (and dangerous) taking a picture on the Abbey Road crosswalk could be. He is currently kicking it in Wrigleyville right across the street from Jordan’s old apartment.
Bridesmaid
Anna is Tommy’s younger sister and also generally speaking, a badass. She puts up with Jordan’s shenanigans and is always down for a hike through a nature preserve or a late night drive to Van’s for frozen custard. Her pup’s instagram account, @morenipplesthanteeth, is definitely worth the follow. And according to Tommy, during their younger years Anna built up a reputation of hiding in the bathroom with a “stomach ache” when it came time to clean up their toys – a practice Jordan has since adopted for when she and Tommy clean their apartment.
Groomsman
John is Tommy’s senior year college roommate and known to their college group as ‘Trash Panda.’ If you don’t understand this, neither does Jordan. He’s also been known to bring exotic animals into their dorm room, such as an axolotl (read: salamander) and a fake-cat pillow that their suitemates all treated as the house pet. John is also Tommy’s main man for all things soccer. Tommy roots for Chelsea, John roots for Roma.
Bridesmaid
An aspiring Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers, Brittney was Jordan’s roommate during her time at the Boob Cave (our affectionate name for our all-girls, senior-year Wrigleyville apartment in 2016. Yes, that was the same year the Cubs won the World Series. Yes, we could see Wrigley Field from our kitchen window.) Shameless brag aside, Brittney makes a mean enchilada and is Jordan’s partner in crime for choreographing dance routines.
Groomsman
Nick is Jordan’s younger brother and the Garth to her Wayne. She's bossed him around since they could talk, but if they are watching Wayne’s World, or West Wing, or Rent, or Newsroom, or The Muppets: A Christmas Carol, you best leave the room because they will recite every. single. line. Same goes for broadway tunes on a road trip. The one thing they won't ever agree on though is Nick's alleged resemblance to Kris Bryant. Jordan doesn't see it. Ask Nick about Tommy’s permanent butt mark left in the weight room during their cross country days– a story Nick knows well.
Flower Girl
Jordan’s mini me, Ava is the middle Miller sister and will sing your ear off by way of Hamilton rap lyrics or a lyrical Frozen ballad, your choice. Her favorite food is peanut-butter and jelly, her cartwheel is perfect and she gives hugs with her whole heart. While learning how to talk, Ava also coined one of Jordan’s catchiest nicknames which has stuck to this day – Jordna.
Usher
Connor was Jordan’s stand partner in high school band and orchestra. Being french horn players (a very rare, also very stubborn breed), the two of them got thrown into every ensemble imaginable often getting yelled at in front of a 100+ person orchestra when they’d forget to practice. Such emotional scarring never goes away but it also thankfully fosters lifelong friendship!
Flower Girl
Jordan’s youngest sister and the cutest sass-bucket you will ever set eyes on, Taylor has maintained, since she could talk, that Tommy is HER boyfriend – which Tommy affectionately attributes to their morning walks around her 1st birthday. Tay would hold onto Tommy’s thumbs and waddle up and down the house. Tay is also Jordan’s favorite snuggler and plans to be a president, hospital doctor and babysitter when she grows up. Jordan would prefer she stay nugget-sized.
Usher
Brad and Jordan have a very special relationship in that for many years of their youth, they skated around in matching sequined costumes for trophies. That’s right – they were pair skating partners and they were pretty good too until Jordan hit a growth spurt. Their encore came in high school when they both participated in their high school productions of Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast and Grease.
