Montrose Regional Airport - MTJ

Montrose (MTJ) is the airport most travelers will choose to fly into. It is the second closest airport to Telluride and an easy 1 hour and 20 minute drive to Town. TRAVEL TO AND FROM MONTROSE AIRPORT There are two transportation companies that provide shuttle van service or private service. Telluride Express: 970-728-6000 or Mountain Limo: 970-728-9606. Both companies require reservations. There are also rental cars available from the Montrose Airport

Telluride Airport (TEX), is just minutes from Town but offers limited flights from Denver on Denver Air Connection and Boutique Air.

Getting Around Town

Keep in mind Telluride Town and Mountain Village are accessible by walking and the complimentary Gondola. Cars will not be necessary for any wedding related events, and guests should use the Gondola to and from day of wedding events. The Telluride /Mountain Village Gondola runs daily from 7am to 12 midnight (2am on Friday & Saturday) and there is no charge. If you would like to rent a car for your stay the rental car businesses in the airport close early. Confirm your appointment with the company prior to your arrival at the airport. For those staying in Mountain Village, Dial-A-Ride operates 7 days a week and provides point to point transportation in Mountain Village to all residents and guests. Call 970-728-8888 to book your ride. There are no Uber/Lyfts in Telluride. Taxis are available but you need to pre-schedule any trips ahead of time. Telluride Express and Telluride Mountain Limo are both great options.
