We have selected several hotels that can be found on the travel page, which are all very close - five minutes or fewer - to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Additionally, please feel free to explore all that Kent Island has to offer for overnight stays on Trip Advisor at: https://tinyurl.com/mpkr4byr. You will find everything from bed & breakfasts to manor houses and more!
The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore just over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Kent Island, has an inviting and comfortable resort-like vibe with many amenities, including a marina; ample, free parking; restaurants; bakery; gourmet market; shops; and, a spa. You will enjoy the club’s beautifully appointed indoor spaces; well-tended formal gardens and lawns (including a chef’s garden); waterfront walking paths; relaxing common areas with fire pits and fireplaces; and, lots of cozy corners for relaxing and enjoying expansive views of the bay. Jordan and I invite you to take a peek at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and to see all that it has to offer you during our wedding weekend at www.baybeachclub.com.
If you decide to come to Kent Island on Saturday, we will be thrilled to see you! Both of us would love to welcome you to the Eastern Shore of Maryland over a few drinks at The Jetty Restaurant & Dock Bar on Saturday night. We will be going there just after our rehearsal dinner, so you can expect to bump into us around nine o' clock.
Well, there will be lots of photography and videography going on throughout the day on Sunday, right up until the time of the wedding! The wedding ceremony will be held indoors in the Sunset Room of the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club at 4 p.m. Please plan to arrive for the ceremony by 3:15 p.m. Immediately after the ceremony, there will be a cocktail/mocktail reception followed by hors d’oeuvres, dinner, live music, and dancing - all at the wedding venue, until about 9 p.m., or so. Following the festivities, everyone is invited to join us for an after-party at The Jetty Seafood Restaurant, which overlooks Kent Narrows. The Jetty is a laid-back local gathering place very near each of the guest hotels. It is literally just a few steps from your accommodations, if you decide to stay at The Hilton Inn!
Jordan and I have chosen semi-formal attire for the wedding as we think it is a good fit for a fall afternoon wedding in a beautiful New England-style ballroom with muted colors, wood floors, chandeliers, and panoramic views of the Chesapeake Bay. For your wedding attire, think a nice suit, not a tuxedo. Think a stylish short, tea-length, or midi dress, not a full-length ball gown. Think a little bling and fine detailing, not a lot of baubles and flash. You can check out The Knot or The Spruce online for some up-to-the-moment semi-formal style options. And, you can get a sneak peek of the Sunset Ballroom on the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club’s website for some added inspiration. Have fun choosing your wedding outfits!! And, of course, reach out to us with any questions.
We would love to thank you for attending our wedding by sending you off with a delicious breakfast on Monday. Thank you for having made your reservation in advance. Please bring your appetite to Bark BBQ Cafe, 371 Log Canoe Drive, Stevensville, MD @ 9:30-11:30 a.m. You can expect to see us there as you enjoy some of the best local breakfast items Stevensville has to offer!
We would love for you to take your own photos throughout the night; however, we ask that you refrain from having your cellphones or cameras out during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be working hard to capture our ceremony, which will include shots of the guests. At this time, we have been asked to instruct guests to keep all devices hidden during our ceremony. During the reception, please feel free to come take a selfie with us or any other friends! We would love to see your photos from the event. For any social media posts you can use our hashtag: #theyloveeachother2023
I guess we would say, “Unless you’re bringing a boat, it’s just going to be really awkward getting stuff home. A boat is different. We definitely know how to get a boat home. Lol.” Honestly, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. We will have a box for your cards and wedding well-wishes; and, we will post an address where you can send any gifts you would like - other than boats, of course - on our website.
We will post any new information and wedding updates to our website. In the meantime, if you have questions or if we can help with anything at all, please reach out to us.
