Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

We love kids! But our special occasion is for invited adults only. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

When should guests RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than August 17, 2022. Thank you!

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Our entire wedding, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be at the Elkridge Furnace Inn at 5745 Furnace Ave, Elkridge, MD 21075.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

For those who wish to honor us with a gift, we are kindly asking for donations to our honeymoon fund or any of the experiences we have listed on our registry, in lieu of a formal gift registry. Since we have lived together for a long time, we don’t have a need for material or household items. Instead, we’d love to make memories as a newly married couple - your contributions will help us do just that! We can’t thank you enough for any contribution you are able to make, and if not, we are just happy to share our day with you! If you’d like to check out our registry, click the “Registry” tab on this website or feel free to leave a card at the gift table at our wedding. You can also visit www.zola.com/registry/jordanandkaila2022. Again, we can’t thank you enough!

Question

How can guests RSVP and select their meal options?

Answer

There are two ways to RSVP: on this website or via mail (when you receive your invitations by mail). Guests can RSVP on this website by clicking the “RSVP” page. On the RSVP page, search for your name and click on it. After you click your name, you can select “will attend,” and your meal options will show up after doing so. You will also see your wedding “date” listed or the option to add the name of your plus one. For meal options, please select “Other” if you have dietary restrictions that don’t allow you to choose one of the meal options listed. Just leave us a note specifying your dietary restrictions so we can accommodate you. We will also be sending out formal, paper invitations via mail. You can RSVP by sending your response back to us in the mail. Again, please specify any dietary restrictions.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

We ask that you kindly dress semi-formally for our wedding and reception - no need to dress in black tie (i.e. tux, formal ball gown, etc.) unless you want! Evening wear such as suits, gowns, and cocktail dresses are perfect.

Question

Is there parking available for guests?

Answer

There is tons of free parking for guests, and there will be attendants on site to guide you where to park.

Question

How long is the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 5pm sharp. Please show up at least 15 minutes to 30 minutes before the ceremony starts. The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour and then a reception. Our day will end at 10pm. Please note that guests will not be let into the ceremony site after the ceremony has already started.

Question

Do you have accommodation available for guests who want to stay overnight the day before and/or night of the wedding?

Answer

We have a room block at the Hilton Garden Inn (BWI Airport) where guests can stay at a reduced rate. You can book your stay for the 23rd (the day before our wedding), the 24th (the night of our wedding), or you can book both days! You can book online - the link is available on the “Hotel & Stay” tab of this website. Or you can call the hotel directly at 410-691-0500 and then press 1 for reservations. Afterwards, ask the reservationist to book a reservation under the Harris / Dorsey Wedding group block.

Question

Is there assigned seating during the ceremony?

Answer

Guests can feel free to sit wherever they’d like, on either side! We just ask that the first two rows on both sides be reserved for our immediate family members.

Question

Will food and dinner be served at the wedding?

Answer

YES, and lots of it! For the reception, guests will be able to choose from the following dinner options: roasted herb chicken, wine braised short rib, salmon with lemon caper butter, and a vegetarian option. All meals come with a caesar salad, a French baguette with herb whipped butter, lemon sautéed asparagus, and garlic and herb mashed potatoes. If you have dietary restrictions in relation to any of these side dishes, please note them when you RSVP so we can accommodate you. During cocktail hour, there will be three passed hors d'oeuvres, including fried mac and cheese balls with aged cheddar and bacon, vegetarian spring rolls, and mini chicken and waffles. There will also be a stationary fruit display.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yep - enjoy! :)

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

For those who prefer technology, you can simply type search Elkridge Furnace Inn into your GPS, and that should get you to the venue.

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! The Hilton Garden Inn (BWI Airport), where we have a room block for guests to book a stay, will keep their bar and restaurant open for guests who want to keep the party going after the reception!
