Maine Maritime Museum
This must see museum is situated right between downtown Bath and Phippsburg! This museum has tons of really cool exhibits and perfectly combines Haley's love of museums and Jordan's love of maritime history. They also do really fun boat tours!
Popham Beach
15 minutes from the wedding venue! This is Haley's favorite beach in Maine and for good reason! Pro tip: Check tide times when planning your trip and go at low tide. At high tide they will stop letting people in, and at low tide you can walk out to an island!
Higgins Beach
A bit far from the wedding venue, but worth the trip! This is Jordan's favorite beach in Maine. Pro tip: Check tide times when planning your trip and go at low tide. Also, at low tide, an old shipwreck becomes visible on the far north side of the beach! At high tide, the beach makes a decent destination for any surfing enthusiast.
Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park
Where we took our engagement photos! Woods! Rocky coastline! Beautiful, easy, walking trails! What more could you want?
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
These gardens combine curated blooms with beautiful walking trails capturing the stunning landscape of Maine. Also a must see here are the Trolls! These are massive wood sculptures created by renowned Danish artist Thomas Dambo. There are five of them throughout the gardens. Worth the scenic drive through Wiscasset to Boothbay.
The Old Port
Portland's waterfront historic district with tons of cool shops and great restaurants and bars.
Portland Head Light
The most famous and most photographed lighthouse in Maine!
Portland Museum of Art
A fantastic art museum with a diverse collection of American, international, classic, and contemporary art.
Portland Observatory
Slightly off the beaten path in Portland, the observatory is an iconic landmark and small museum located in the Munjoy Hill neighborhood (also a great place for restaurants). You can climb to the top of the tower for fantastic views of the city and harbor.
Allagash Brewing Company
This well known and well loved brewery has a pleasant patio and great brews. They also offer tours and special tasting experiences.
