The 1774 Inn is located at 44 Parker Head Rd, Phippsburg, ME about 15 minutes from Bath, ME down scenic 2-lane roads with lovely water views. 1774 Inn does not have parking onsite for all guests. If you plan to drive, you will need to park at the Albert F Totman Public Library in Phippsburg at 28 Parker Head Rd, Phippsburg, ME 04562 and walk 2 doors down to the venue. End up having one glass of wine too many? You may leave your car in the library parking lot overnight, but please plan to retrieve it early the next morning. If you or someone in your party has accessibility needs requiring on-site parking or a ride from the library to the venue, please indicate this when you RSVP or reach out to the couple directly and we will make arrangements to accommodate you.
Yes! We will have an open beer and wine bar. We will not be serving cocktails or liquor, and BYOB is not allowed. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
The wedding will take place primarily outdoors. June in coastal Maine can be unpredictable. Temperatures in Maine this time of year range in the mid to high 70s, but can be as low as the mid-sixties or as high as the mid-80s with high humidity. We recommend keeping an eye on the weather in the week leading up and planning layers into your ensemble. If it rains, things will be moved indoors and/or under cover. Most wedding festivities will take place on grass, so we recommend leaving your spiky heels or narrow wedges at home to keep from sinking. The dress code is cocktail/semi-formal; think fancy garden party or classy picnic! For men, chinos, button up, and a jacket would be great. For women, think flowy and fun dresses or jumpsuits.
