A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there was... a pool party! It was a surprise birthday party for Coles' best friend, Chaz (you'll hear about him again later). This was where Coles and Jordan laid eyes on each other for the first time. Coles was hosting the party and Jordan showed up early, in fact she was the first one to arrive. This was the last and only time Jordan was early to an event since meeting Coles. The minute Coles opened the door for Jordan there was an instant connection. They spent most of the party flirting and getting to know each other. Quickly, they learned that this wasn't the first time the universe tried making their paths cross. They attended the same theater camp as kids, just never on the same week. They also ran in the same social circle as adults yet somehow none of those friends ever thought to set them up. Until the pool party... Chaz's fiancé at the time and now wife, Ashton (she will also come up later), was the one who planned the party with Coles to begin with. She received texts from both of them showing interest in the other throughout the night. "I'm the first person here... so Coles? He's cute, what's his story?" Jordan vigorously texted. "Jordan is really cute and I kept wanting to ask you about her and forgetting she was sitting right next to me!" Coles said, forgetful as always. Coles got Jordan's number and on October 3rd, 2018, they went on their first date. From then on, well, as they say... the rest is history.

Four years later, Coles and Jordan embarked on their first international trip together to bonnie Scotland. Side by side with their best friends, Chaz and Ashton (remember from the first story?), the four friends abandoned America from August 6th, 2022 to August 15th, 2022. On August 11th, five days into their journey, Coles surprised Jordan with the most amazing proposal. They started their day off in Fort William taking pictures and following the route of the Jacobite Train by car. Harry Potter fans may know the Jacobite Train by it's other name... the Hogwarts Express! Both huge fans of the Wizarding World, Coles and Jordan loved seeing the train used in the films. Just outside Fort William, lying amongst the sand, is the Corpach Shipwreck. This was their next destination! It is the rusted remains of a fishing vessel known as the "MC Dayspring." It was built in 1979 and crashed on the beach after a storm in 2011, where it sits to this day. After visiting the shipwreck they stopped for some lunch right on the Loch. The group's favorite memory of the day (aside from the proposal) was when Jordan casually mentioned at lunch that she had broken a nail. Coles' stomach sank, Ashton's eyes got big... It should be noted that Coles mentioned before the trip that he was too nervous to fly to another country with a ring and to not expect an engagement. He lied. "Which hand?" Ashton coyly asked. "The right." said Jordan before adding, "Not like it matters anyway!" If she only knew... After lunch they went on a hike near the lower falls and returned to their Airbnb in Fort William to get ready for dinner. The boys left to get some necessities for the Airbnb before dinner (at least that was what Jordan was told). Ashton and Jordan drove to pick the boys up for dinner and to her surprise was led to a beautiful hillside overlooking the water. Coles was nestled upon the hill waiting for her with flowers to ask the most important question of both their lives. She, of course, said yes and again... as they say... the rest is history.
