Can I Invite Additional Guests/Bring a Plus One?

Answer

Due to venue capacity and contractual agreements, we can only accommodate guests that receive a formal invite. All invitee names for both the ceremony and reception have been entered in a database and must be selected upon online RSVP. Plus ones/additional guest names that aren't already in the database cannot be entered manually. Please contact Caleb or Jordan if you have additional questions regarding the invitation or RSVP processes.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There are parking lots available on site for both Buhl Mansion and Tara - A Country Inn. Parking is free, but you should still plan to arrive early in order to ensure a spot at both venues.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP online by using our website: please see the 'RSVP' page. You can also confirm your attendance by contacting Jordan, Caleb, Jody Lucas or Margaret Clark if you are unable to RSVP online.

Will Transportation Be Provided?

Answer

Please plan to arrive and travel between venues and lodging in your own source of transportation. Shuttles will not be provided: a car is needed. Please have a designated driver if you plan on enjoying cocktails.

I have dietary restrictions: what foods are accessible to me?

Answer

This will be easier to confirm closer to the time of the event, but we will do our best to work with our vendors beforehand to accommodate specific restrictions that are communicated to us in a timely fashion. Please make note of any dietary restrictions when RSVPing for the reception.

Where is your gift registry?

Answer

We are currently registered through Williams Sonoma, Zola, and MyRegistry.com. The registries can be found by searching for our names on the retailer's registry website, or by navigating to the 'Registry' page on this website. Zola and MyRegistry.com contain gifts from various retailers. Please pay attention to the notes and details if buying off of the MyRegistry.com registry.

Are phones allowed?

Answer

You may have your phone on you for the ceremony, but we ask that you put it on silent. We will have multiple photographers during the ceremony: please refrain from taking photos on your phone or camera during the ceremony unless you have been asked by the bride or groom to do so. Phones can be used for photo/video and other communications at your leisure during the reception at Tara - A Country Inn, as well as the cake and champagne reception at Buhl Mansion.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested for guests. The wedding party and parent figures will be assigned to wear specific clothing articles approved by the bride and groom ahead of the ceremony. Please note that the ceremony will be held in an outdoor garden if the weather permits: please plan on wearing appropriate shoes to navigate an outdoor terrain, and dress according to the weather that day. Please also note that the ceremony is being held on the grounds of a historic estate: while we do want you to be comfortable, we ask that you don't plan to dress casually. Examples of cocktail attire: -formal jackets -fitted pantsuit or jumpsuit -blouses -blazers -suits -button-up shirt -knee-length or longer for dresses and skirts -heels -leather flats -loafers -dressy boots -nice sneakers Please avoid wearing: -t-shirts -shorts -mini skirts and short dresses that come above the knee -blue jeans -baseball hats -performance sneakers

What is your wedding theme?

Answer

The colors we selected for our theme include sea salt sage, jade, brassy gold, ivory, and black. Our theme was selected for a springtime wedding with art deco elements at a historical mansion. The reception theme reflects art deco accents and leafy green nature elements. Please reach out to Jordan or Caleb if you have additional questions on the colors or theme.

What kind of food will be served at the reception?

Answer

We will have a cake and champagne reception @ 2 pm with a charcuterie spread featuring meats, cheeses, fruits, and dips at Buhl Mansion after the ceremony to hold guests over until dinner: please note that the cake contains gluten and dairy. Sparkling wine, nonalcoholic sparkling cider, beer, and wine options will be available. The dinner options that will be served @ 5:30 pm include prime rib, chicken, and salmon coulibiac with twice baked potatoes, seasonal vegetables, salad and dressing, breadsticks, and rolls. Open bar with liquor, wine, and beer options: please drink responsibly if partaking! Pittsburgh cookie table for dessert.
