Hotel
We'll be hosting both ceremony and reception at Hotel Nelligan. You can use the code WEDNEL for 10% off your stay. The hotel is right in the middle of Old Montreal, but there are lots of other options too if you would rather stay somewhere nearby! For those wondering how long your stay should be: We plan on hosting a casual welcome dinner on Saturday night, but most of our wedding festivities will be on Sunday. Most guests are arriving either Friday or Saturday, and leaving Monday.

Travel Note
Montreal has a few different neighborhoods worth checking out. Our wedding will be in Old Montreal (Vieux Montreal) which is the historic neighborhood of the city. Right by the old port, so there's lots of sightseeing to do in the area! It's a great area to walk around and take photos. If you want to stay in somewhere a little less touristy, the neighborhood we would recommend staying in is Le Plateau-Mont-Royal. This neighborhood is very close to downtown and Old Montreal, but feels much more cozy. If you have free time and want to explore, the hike up to Mont-Royale is about 2-3 hours and will give great views of the city. This neighborhood has a lot of good food, good shopping/thrifting, and more! Some of our favorite restaurants that we recommend are: -- Schwartz's Deli -- No-frills restaurant on the plateau that's actually co-owned by Celine Dion. Their smoked meat sandwiches are cheap and also super tasty. -- L'Express -- A French bistro on the plateau with great classics! We loved their pâté and cornichons. -- Stash Cafe -- Located in Old Montreal, this restaurant serves traditional Polish food and sometimes live music! -- Olive et Gourmando -- This restaurant serves a great cup of coffee and lots of classic French pastries. A great way to start your day in Old Montreal! -- La Banquise -- Of course we had to recommend a poutine spot in Montreal! We'll serve poutine at our wedding but in case you were craving more, this spot offers large portions at a good price. They didn't speak English the last time we were here so maybe have your Google Translate ready just in case.
Travel Note
For those who might want to add some additional travel before or after the wedding, here are some extra recommendations! --Quebec City-- Picturesque and about a 2-3 hour car/train ride away from Montreal. We timed our wedding for peak fall colors in the region, so while Montreal should just be starting to turn for autumn, Quebec City should be at its peak! --New England-- Montreal is about an hour from the US border, and some guests will be flying into the East Coast of the US and then traveling north before the wedding, or flying into Montreal and then heading into the US after the wedding. For those of you who haven't been to the East Coast before, now might be a great chance to visit! --Europe-- Flights from Montreal to Europe are a lot cheaper than flights from the West Coast to Europe. If you want an extended vacation, consider crossing the Atlantic (maybe you'll run into us on our honeymoon!)
