What's the best way to get to the city from the airport?
Answer
There is a bus that departs directly from the airport that will take you into downtown Montreal! You can buy tickets at the airport and there is usually a very helpful, bilingual agent by the kiosk to help you out. Do I need cash?
Answer
Most places take card, so you shouldn't need a lot of cash on hand. It's not a bad idea to have some in case you run into a situation where they don't accept card or other contactless payment.

Do I tip in Canada?
Answer
Tipping culture is similar in Canada compared to the US! Generally 15%-20% is considered standard for dining service, etc.

Should I come to the tea ceremony if I'm not a family member?
Answer
Tea ceremony is open to all guests! The grooms will be serving tea to any family members that are older in age (including cousins and siblings), but we also will be catering with pastries, mimosas, coffee, and other refreshments. Please feel free to stop by! If you are participating in the tea ceremony and don't have red envelopes, we'll have some empty ones on hand.

What should I do between tea ceremony and the rooftop ceremony?

Tea ceremony is at 2pm and the rooftop ceremony is at 5pm. The grooms need this gap to change outfits and take photos, but we recommend any guests that are coming to tea ceremony to take advantage of the free time afterwards and enjoy the neighborhood around the wedding venue! There's a lot to see and do in the old port, so try walking around the waterfront, taking pictures around the historic architecture, shopping around Rue St. Paul, etc.

Do I need to know French?
Answer
Most places are bilingual so English will be plenty. You might run into a few places that only speak French, so here are some helpful phrases to know: Bonjour! - Hello! Merci - Thank you S'il vous plaît - Please Excusez-moi - Excuse me Parlez-vous anglais? - Do you speak English? Où est/sont...? - Where is/are...? (For example, "Où sont les toilettes" means "Where are the restrooms?") Je voudrais - I would like Combien ça coûte? - How much does this cost? Une table pour... - A table for... (For example, "Une table pour deux" means "a table for two") And finally some numbers: Un (1), deux (2), trois (3), quatre (4), cinq (5), six (6), sept (7), huit (8), neuf (9), and dix (10)

Is there an open bar?

Yes ;) During tea ceremony, we will only have mimosas and non-alcoholic beverages such as juices and coffee. Before ceremony, glasses of prosecco will be served to anybody interested in partaking. After ceremony, we will have an open bar all night. Please feel free to take advantage of this during cocktail hour and reception.
