As we began planning our upcoming nuptials, we reminisced about the early days of our relationship. To honor this special time, we asked Jordan’s aunt, Becky, to create artwork for our wedding invitations. She did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life, and we would like to take a moment to explain the various elements. . . We met in early 2015, when Andrew hosted a bonfire, filled with laughter, music, and possibility. This night marked the beginning of a friendship that continues to scaffold and strengthen our relationship. Our first date was a few months later—on the Fourth of July. While the fireworks burst over downtown Knoxville, we had our first kiss and decided to go for a midnight swim in the Fort Dickerson Quarry. Later that summer, a danger-filled canoe trip down the Cumberland River tested our mettle and showed that, even during moments of high stress, we were able partner together to push through challenges. As time moved on, we fell deeper in love watching the fireflies wink at us as we enjoyed home-cooked dinners on the picnic table outside our South Knoxville home. We marked the beginning of Spring as the dogwood flowers bloomed around us. We ventured through the ups and downs of building a life together. And we continue to challenge each other, to honor each other, and to prioritize fun and connection. And the animals, you ask? Andrew, the raccoon, is creative, energetic, and mischievous. Jordan, the possum, is gentle, intelligent, and cute as a button. We cannot wait to see you all in a few months! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions about our wedding. So long as you bring a smile and your dancing shoes, you’ll be right at home. Love, Jordan + Andrew
