Beacon Bonfire Music & Art Festival
We lucked out and the City of Beacon is holding their 2nd annual "beacon bonfire" music and art festival on Main Street the weekend of our wedding. Expect main street to shut down for bonfires to be set up and lots of pop up art exhibits, drink and snack vendors, musical performances and more. Check out the event website additional information. Beacon Reservoir via the Fishkill Ridge Trail
This is where Jordan proposed to Kira and one of their favorite go-to hikes
Fishkill Ridge Loop via Overlook and Fishkill Ridge Trail
Do the start of the "proposal hike" but take it up a notch and go towards a bit tougher hike and one of our favorites. Awesome views at the top of the Hudson River and parts of Catskills
Mount Beacon
Start at the Mount Beacon Trailhead to hike up and get a birds-eye view of Beacon and a panoramic view of The Catskills across the river
Breakneck Ridge Trail
Not for the faint of heart and is a difficult (somewhat arduous trail). Danny claims to have almost died hiking up it but did ultimately conquer :) * Kira recommends that no one does this hike unless you think you can boulder at least a little bit
Bull Hill Short Loop
This is the hike we generally bring visitors on and is one of the most popular in the area. It has one of the absolute BEST views of the mountains and hills coming out of the Hudson
