The Love story of Aaron and Victoria began on October 10th, 2017. Aaron had come up with the perfect first date place at a sky bar in downtown Denver overlooking the sun disappearing behind the Rocky Mountains. However, it became a bit of a struggle for Aaron to get to the date since he took the wrong elevator, not once but twice. At the same time Victoria, who was already waiting at the bar, tried to lighten up the mood by writing what she thought was a funny text to Aaron saying she was the "tall blonde Swedish girl" who was waiting for him up at the bar. Aaron's short response with a simple, “Ok,” made Victoria think he lacked a sense of humor. So, the date did not start out in the best way. Yet, after Aaron finally made it up to the restaurant, a date who both thought would last no longer than an hour, turned into conversations that wouldn’t stop for over five hours. After that first date, they both knew this was the start of something special. Aaron put it perfectly on their second date, when he said ,"I just want to be with you all the time." Since then, they have spent as much of their time together as possible. Many weekend trips have included everything from a weekend in New York, several drives over the slopes to Grand Junction to spend time with Aaron's family, numerous hikes, ski days, a road trip to California and a long trip to Sweden when Aaron met Victoria's family for the first time. That trip to Sweden was not only Aaron's premiere of celebrating Midsummer but also when Aaron asked Victoria’s parents for their permission to ask her to marry him. The love they share has given them both a chance to grow, not only as individuals but also as someone’s partner and companion. A love that both have been looking and longing for for so long. The most important lessons they have learned up to now are to listen to each other, be patient and realize that together, everything is possible. A love that was worth waiting for.
