Giraffes, Tigers and Bears oh my! Head over to the zoo if you'd like to see a wide range of critters! 🐯 Very family friendly, check their website to make sure they're open. 45-minute drive from the venue. (P.S the roads usually have heavy traffic!)

Beautiful waterfall with trails! Will probably be chilly in May, and you might need a pass. 1 hour drive from the venue.

Very cool and huge science museum! Very family-friendly, and they have quite literally everything there from space to dinosaurs! 40-minute drive from the venue.

Unique place to eat and stay, there are also McMenamins restaurants in Vancouver and Kalama WA. 1-hour drive from the venue.

Ape Cave
The Ape Cave is a massive underground 2-level tunnel formed by lava that was forced underground when Mount St. Helens erupted. It is called the Ape Cave because it was discovered by a group of boy-scouts called "The Apes." The upper level has rocks and is a bit more difficult, and the lower level is just a fascinating walk through the tunnel. Portland's Finest Historical Museum! A huge mansion full of history. 45-minute drive from the venue.
Silver Falls State Park
Silver falls offers a beautiful hike if you're looking to find some sights to see! Please check the website to see if you need a pass, and if the trails are open. Near Salem, about a 50-minute drive from the venue. The address is to the park's office.
