Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We would like to have everyone seated and settled by 4:00PM for the ceremony to begin! You are welcome to show up as early as 3:30-3:45 to have time to visit and find your seat.

Parking & Transportation

Answer

The Oak + Hood venue should have plenty of parking for everyone. The Canby area does also have Uber and Lyft, but with it being a smaller town I wouldn't depend on it.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever pops into your mind when you think "wedding attire" should be a-ok! There is no certain style or color required, just look nice! If you're curious, our wedding colors are dark earthy tones. Layers are recommended, it will most likely be chilly in May. The covered ceremony will be held outdoors, even though you will be covered keep in mind the grass may be wet. The parking lot is gravel, and there may be yard games on the grass also!

Phones & Cameras

Answer

We would like to keep our ceremony unplugged! Please keep your phones on silent and away during the ceremony. But don't worry, we have a wonderful photographer who will capture all our moments! You're welcome to snap away once the ceremony is over. If you'd like to see the pictures of our day, there will be a gallery posted on this website when we receive our finished photos.

Little Ones

Answer

Kids are welcome to come, but we are looking forward to a quiet ceremony. If you have a young one who has a good set of pipes, please be aware of when they may need to be taken out of the room. Thank you!

Where's the afterparty?

Answer

Our wedding at Oak + Hood will end before 10pm, with last call being at 9:30. If you're wanting to party on longer, there are some great hang-out spots around the area! The newlyweds may be at Mike's Place or The Wild Hare Saloon throughout the night if they choose to hit the town!
