For our ceremony and reception, we are calling our dress code "black tie garden party". This means black tie optional, but with the freedom/encouragement to wear some color. Long dresses in any color for the ladies, while gents can plan to wear either a tux if they prefer, or a dark-colored suit. Plan for an outdoor ceremony, and an indoor reception. You can see the dress code for all of the weekend's events on the "Schedule" page of this site.
The ceremony will commence at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Guests should plan to arrive on property and be at the pavilion approximately 15-20 minutes before the start of the ceremony to enjoy a welcome drink.
Due to limited seating at the venue, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.
Kids are welcome to join for the weekend and enjoy the resort (it is a very family friendly place). However, we are looking forward to celebrating with adults only during the welcome drink on Friday, as well as the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on Saturday. While we are not planning to have child care included on site, please reach out to Erin or Jake if you need assistance finding a local sitter.
All events & activities will be taking place on resort and within walking distance from the resort accommodations. As such, there will be no need for transportation to be provided or coordinated!
Our out of state guests have the choice to fly into either Denver International Airport (approx. 75 miles, 1 hour drive) or Colorado Springs Airport (approx. 20 miles, 30 minute drive). All guests will be able to drive to the resort and gain access through the main gate to where all activities will be taking place. Complimentary parking is available for all guests staying on property for the duration of their stay. Complimentary parking will also be available for guests not staying on property but driving to the events. While Uber and taxis are active and operate in Colorado Springs, please be mindful that access to Flying Horse may be limited, reduced, or otherwise unreliable due to its location.
Before and after the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! However, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony, meaning we kindly ask that all phones and devices be put away and silenced. Spencer Lauren Photography (IG: @spencerlauren.co) will be there to capture all the moments of the day, which we will be sure to make available soon after the weekend.
