Santo Spirito Market
Piazza Santo Spirito is on the south side of the Arno river, just a few minutes away from Palazzo Pitti. This quaint market takes place on a Sunday and features stalls ranging from vintage clothing and jewellery, through to traditional Italian china! Grab a coffee in the Piazza or visit the Loggia rooftop for a lunch time spritz!
Pastamania - Experience in Florence
We attended a Pasta making course here, which can be booked through AirBnB. You get to make 3 different types of pasta, and enjoy eating it with some beautiful local wines! Certainly a must when in Italy.
All’Antico Vinaio
The best sandwich shop in Florence! Make sure to go early or later in the day to avoid the queues, as it can go round the block. Our favourite sandwich is Truffle Mortadella Ham, Pesto, Fior di Latte, Rocket and Honey!
La Ménagère
We love this place! Breakfast, Lunch, Drinks, Flowers, Books, homewares..... just a beautiful space worth visiting for breakfast or an afternoon espresso and a noise around!
La Giostra
One of Florence's most famous restaurant, where many famous faces visit when in town. A romantic candlelit dining room, with some classic Florentine dishes. We recommend the Pear and Ricotta Ravioli and Florentine steak. Make sure to book in advance, as reservations can be hard to come by!
Florence Mercato Centrale
Grab a drink and some food from the multiple food vendors. The first floor is full of food stalls of all different cuisines! Perfect for a lunch time stop to try some Italian delicacies or some international treats!
Il Santino
This tiny little wine bar, is a great place for a Chianti and local cheese or a pre dinner aperitif. One of Jonny's favourite wine bars in Florence, on the south side of the river Arno close to the Piazza Santo Spirito and the Pitti Palace.
