A Catholic wedding mass may be longer than most other wedding ceremonies because it consists of both the wedding ceremony and the celebration of the Eucharist. The Nuptial Mass is a Catholic liturgy that includes the celebration of the sacrament of marriage. It follows the normal pattern of a mass, with readings from scripture, a homily, and the celebration of Holy Communion. The exchange of vows will take place following the homily. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate, we ask that only Catholics disposed to received the Eucharist take Communion. We are so honored to share and celebrate this special outpouring of grace with you all! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Jonathan or Veronica.
Great question. Think formal cocktail attire with emphasis on lighter colors. For women, tea to floor length dresses or formal pantsuits/jumpsuits. For men, suits (jacket: yes, tie: optional). Additionally, Jonathan, the groomsmen, and the sword bearers will all be in military uniform. If you wish to join them, please wear your dress blues equivalent. We respectfully request guests be mindful of low necklines and avoid exposed midriffs to honor the sanctity of the basilica.
San Juan Hills Golf Club is about a five-minute drive from the basilica. The reception venue will be open for cocktails immediately following the ceremony.
If you have a plus-one, you will be able to RSVP with a guest through this website. If there is no option to add a guest, we unfortunately are not able to accommodate a plus-one for you.
Yes! Children of all ages are welcome. If they are old enough to sit on their own, ensure that they are listed on the RSVP. Contact Jonathan or Veronica if this is not the case.
