When should I book accommodations for the weekend?

Answer

We highly recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible! Hotel rooms in South Bend will fill up quickly due to a national baton twirling competition taking place the same weekend. To ensure you have a place to stay, please book now using the room blocks listed in the Travel section of this website.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Formal Attire is requested. We suggest men wear a suit or tux and women wear a dress or a nice pantsuit.

Your formal invitation will indicate whether you may bring a plus one.

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration with the exception of a few children in our families which will be indicated on the formal invites. We hope you understand and can join us for a fun and relaxing evening!

We want all of our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration! If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP. We'll do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure there's something delicious you can enjoy!

Can I take pictures with my phone?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests refrain from using cell phones during the Nuptial Mass at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. However, we highly encourage you to take photos and videos throughout the rest of the day. We would love to see our big day captured from your point of view!

We are not registered anywhere, but we're so excited you're sharing our special day with us!

What should we do between the end of Nuptial Mass and the start of Cocktail Hour?

Answer

There will be about one hour between the end of the Nuptial Mass and the start of Cocktail Hour. During this time, guests are welcome to light a candle at the grotto, explore the campus, or grab a drink at Rohr’s located in the Morris Inn, down the hall from the Cocktail Hour space.
