Within a 30 minute drive of Lake Mary, Blue Spring State Park is home to a first-magnitude spring that is one of the largest winter gathering sites for manatees in Florida. From mid-November to March, hundreds of manatees gather in the 72-degree spring run to seek shelter from the cold. Camping, hiking, canoe/kayak rentals, and guided riverboat tours are also available for those seeking a little adventure!
