We met while working at a local hospital where we both discovered our passion for healthcare and helping those in need. Rumor has it, we could be seen making faces through the "fishbowl" windows of the office, daring each other to drink various Thick-It beverages for a bet (hey $20 is $20!), or were often found sharing a breakfast out on the patio during break times. It is said that you don't fall in love, you grow in love and we are living a perfect example of that. We have truly grown together over the past 5 years, supporting each other through the best of times and the worst of times, helping each other flourish personally and professionally, surviving the highs and lows of healthcare with plenty of tears and laughter, raising the absolute cutest puppy in the world together, and even enduring a global pandemic. We can't wait to continue to let love grow together.

Let's set the scene... Picture a relaxing cruise to the breathtaking island of Bermuda known for its beautiful pink sand beaches. Excursion booked for a tour of the island to include the famous Horseshoe Bay beach (i.e. the perfect proposal spot), the Crystal Caves walking tour, and a final stop at the City of Hamilton. Now imagine you have it all planned out to take advantage of that famous beach and its spectacular views, when you find out during the tour that the "beach stop" of the excursion is actually just a drive through the parking lot and quick window view "photo op" from the bus passing over a bridge. Rightfully so, there were a few choice words floating through Jon's head in a moment of silent panic with a very important jewelry box burning a hole in his pocket. With some quick on the spot thinking and the surprise help of some friends we met along the way (thanks Nancy and Mark!), the moment finally happened on the waterfront in a quiet park in the City of Hamilton. Needless to say, the answer was "Yes!" and we celebrated with a nice lunch in downtown Hamilton and, of course, a celebratory Rum Swizzle.
