It started in high school 5th hour keyboarding class when Mrs. Brown put Jon next to me in class. The jokes he made about my slow typing shortly sparked a friendship. He also was my senior prom date!

Best friends in high school, now fast forward to sophomore year of college. The year our friendship turned to a partnership and our love began to grow.

Cue the best emotional supporter I could ask for! Mr. Buckets graduated nursing school by my side as my ESA and kept me somewhat sane while Jon was away. He didn’t even know he had a dad overseas🥹

FaceTime and Snapchat were our best friends senior year. This made it a smidge easier being able to still see his face.

Right before he was supposed to come home, the pandemic was running rampant and his deployment got extended making it over a year before I would be able to hug him again.

Due to Covid, I graduated in the comfort of my grandparents basement, Jons deployment got extended & he missed his own graduation. It was hard to be happy not celebrating these milestones together.

After over one whole year apart, the moment we were so excited about finally came to be. I was in his arms and he was home safe.

On our 4th anniversary, Jonathan took me to the most beautiful park and proposed on a hike. The most beautiful rock was of course the one he put on my finger.
