Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

All young kids are welcome to attend and may even receive an invitation of their own! We do just ask that if they are disruptive during the ceremony that you pull them aside to calm them down before returning to your seats to preserve the magic of the day.

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation/RSVP will specify whether you get a plus one or not. We ask that anyone who does not receive an invitation or plus one status please not attend, as we are limited in the number of guests we can accommodate.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

All RSVP's will be handled through the website! Each invitation comes with an RSVP card that links to the wedding website. From there simply click on the RSVP tab at the top and type in one name of a person in your party to begin! Please be sure to note any special instruction for each event before finalizing your RSVP.

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date specified, it will be marked as "No". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue and vendors in a timely manner they have given us. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I change my RSVP if needed?

Answer

Of course! We completely understand that things come up. If you need to update your RSVP, just let us know as soon as possible, preferably before June 19th, 2026 so we can plan accordingly. Just click RSVP on the website to change it.

Whats the weather like?

Answer

July in Michigan can be pretty unpredictable but it is typically warm, sunny and around the 80s! The ceremony will be in an uncovered area but cocktail hour and beyond will be under a large tent which should be well shaded, and fans should also be available.

What should I wear?

Answer

We encourage you to dress your best! Dress codes is summer semi-formal, but please ensure that all outfits are modest, meaning no plunging necklines, reasonable length dresses. In addition, this is an outdoor event so dress accordingly! There will be tent coverage but all events are held on grass so flats or chunky/wedge heels are recommended. Our bridesmaids will be in floor length dresses and our groomsmen will be in dress shirts, dress pants, bow ties, and suspenders for reference!

Where are the Ceremony and Reception?

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at the same location, Jonathan's family home! If you need the address please head to the schedule tab which will also detail other events and times for each.

Is there a shuttle or transportation provided?

Answer

No, we will not be providing transportation to or from the venue. Parking will be available on site and can be found by following the signs which will guide you after entering the venue premises.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00pm so we request that guests plan to arrive no earlier than 2:15 but no later than 2:45. Guests who have not arrived by the start of the ceremony will be asked to sit in the back for the duration of the ceremony to minimize disruptions. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring we have our special moment, uninterrupted.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged to ensure our photographers and videographers are able to do their best work in capturing our big day. We kindly ask you to respect our wishes and keep personal cameras and cell phones tucked away until cocktail hour. During that time we would love it if you helped us capture the unplanned moments by taking your own pictures and sharing them with us! We will have a shared photo album set up to add pictures to which will be accessible through a QR code at the reception. We will share all of our professional content with our guests once we have it!

What's for dinner?

Answer

We will be having a buffet-style dinner of rice, meat, and vegetables. There will be options for all food preferences and most all food allergies/sensitivities.

Where should I stay?

Answer

While we have not booked a hotel block for out of town guests, we have recommended a few locations to stay which can be found under the travel section of our website. We also encourage you to reach out to local friends and family, and look at local AirBNB's that may be available if you are looking for other accommodations.
