We're Tying the Knot!!

We met in high school through the STEAM activities that we both enjoyed taking part in. We continued as friends all through high school until we lost contact with each other. But in the winter of 2023, I came to the college age group that Jonathan was a part of, and we immediately reconnected. Then one night during the summer at that group, Jonathan wanted to talk with someone, and that person ended up being me. That conversation that was intended to only be 30 minutes became 3 hours, and that was when we knew we connected deeper than just friends. The problem though was that Jonathan was leaving for college in Illinois in a month, and so we decided to go out a few times and see if this was something we wanted to pursue long distance. After a few weeks, we went out together on the Rockford Dam Boardwalk and Jonathan asked if we could start dating for real. It has now been over two years since that fateful summer night, with many late night calls often lasting over two hours, dates to Rockford and Frederik Meijer Gardens when Jonathan is home on break, and many hard times without the person we love most. But God has blessed us with each other as we spur each other on to do our best at work, at college, and in our walks with our Heavenly Father. On November 26th, 2025 Jonthan finally asked me to marry him, and I of course said yes. Long distance hasn't become any easier since that day, but we are so excited to spend our lives together, to grow old together, and to continue our walks with God together in brand new ways!
