We're Getting Married!

Jon & Rebekah met online, through a website called 'Date British Guys'. After a day or two of casual flirting, Rebekah convinced Jon to call her (at 11:20pm UK time). A 10 hour phone call ensued; that was pretty much when they knew this was special. The following day, Rebekah asked Jon for a '5 minute FaceTime Call', and he willingly (and somewhat over enthusiastically) accepted, despite him only having napped for 1.5 hours between then and the previous 10 hour phone call. That video call lasted for 3 hours. It was love at first sight...

After an evening of firing Guns at Buds Gun Store, Lexington, Jon was all 'fired' (sorry-not-sorry) up. He decided that this was the day that he would propose. "Let's go down to the Christmas tree at Triangle Park, so I can take a photo", he said to Rebekah. "I'm too cold! You go and take a picture, and I'll stay here", she replied, pouting ever so slightly. "I'll carry your coat" Jon responded, sneakily, though Bekah didn't notice. "Nah, you go. I'm okay staying here", Bekah insisted. "I really think a selfie in front of this tree would be lovely, though", he said, with a persuasive smile. Rebekah, somewhat reluctantly, went down to that Christmas Tree, took a selfie (looking as happy as ever, though still cold) and then received an engagement ring. She suddenly warmed up.
