​Sylvan lake is about 25-30 minutes outside of Eagle and around 1,500 feet elevation gain. NO CELL service once you leave town and none at the lake. Daily Vehicle Pass: $10 Warm burritos. Cook tamales and other food there on grills. Fun games. Canoeists, kayakers, paddle and electric motor boaters enjoy the 42 acre lake. Bring games and water activities, like kayaks, SUPs, etc. Water will be too cold to get into. Boat Rentals: ​including canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks. $25 for 4 hours, $40 for 4 hours​. See the park Entrance Station for rentals or contact the park for questions at 970-328-2021.​ There is an easy hike around the lake, maybe 1.5 miles. There are some longer hikes around there too. Sylvan means a peaceful, wooded place and that's what visitors will find at this beautiful park surrounded by the White River National Forest. Stunning mountain scenery, abundant recreation, wildlife to watch and top-notch fishing and hiking.
