Their Story Dakota started attending Vanguard University in 2022. If you knew Dakota growing up, you knew she had an unwell crush on the her High School Musical dream boy, Zac Efron. This is important for their story because I'll have you know that before meeting Jon, she had seen him playing basketball games on her campus without knowing who he was and called us that night saying she found her college Zac Efron, fully unaware that it would ever turn into something. He was a junior at the time and had officially met playing card games in the same friend group she was welcomed into during the first few weeks at Vanguard. Jon's intentions were not unclear, being the obvious person that he is. Dakota started seeing him all the time and quickly picked up that it wasn't on accident. They started hanging out daily and started dating soon after. They quickly became best friends and mutually felt like they had found their lifelong partner. Beach sunsets became a norm, spontaneous experiences have made for endless fun stories, and their relationship has truly made for the sweetest movie of their own. From growing so beautifully in their relationship with Jesus together to traveling countries to overflowing their love so selflessly on others, there is really no pair I've seen lead a life so full of love from Jesus and for Jesus. Now, here they are about to have another iconic moment as they enter into a full circle moment joining hands in marriage on the same island Jon asked Dakota to marry him.
