The nearest airports to Lake Garda are: Verona (VRN) – just 30 minutes to Bardolino/Cisano/Lazise (basically a hop, skip, and prosecco away ) Milan Bergamo (BGY) – around 1 hour 15 minutes Venice (VCE) – about 1.5 hours (cue gondola vibes) Milan Linate (LIN) or Malpensa (MXP) – 1.5 to 2 hours, but hey, more time for road trip playlists If you can, fly into Verona for the quickest dash to the lake. But Milan and Venice are fab options too — with scenic drives or easy train links that double as sightseeing. From all airports, you’ll find taxis, car rentals, and transfers ready to whisk you off to Garda in no time.

For the welcome event and the big day itself, we’ll have a bus running from central spots in Bardolino, Cisano, and Lazise to whisk you off to the venues. And when the celebrations wrap up, the bus will bring you safely back — no late-night map reading (or wobbly walks) required. For our farewell sunset dinner, things are a little simpler. Cisano is just a lovely walk or a short taxi ride from Bardolino and Lazise.
Travel Note
Fancy swapping traffic jams for lake breezes? Hopping on a ferry is one of the best (and most scenic!) ways to get around Lake Garda. Run by Navigazione Laghi, boats regularly link Lazise, Bardolino, and Cisano with loads of other gorgeous lakeside towns, perfect for a spot of sightseeing, people-watching, and soaking up those dreamy panoramic views. Between Lazise and Bardolino, ferries run every few hours and only take about 17–22 minutes (just enough time to snap a few photos). Tickets are super reasonable too, usually €3–5 per person. From Bardolino, you can sail north to postcard-perfect spots like Malcesine, Limone, and Riva (choose between a gentle cruise or a speedy hydrofoil), or head south to Sirmione and Desenzano for even more Italian charm. And good news: Cisano’s harbour is back in action too, so you can hop on a ferry right from this sweet little village. Basically: sit back, relax, and let Lake Garda do the driving.
Travel Note
Lake Garda has a handy network of local buses that scoot up and down the lakeside towns — perfect if you fancy exploring without getting behind the wheel. They’re cheap, cheerful, and give you a front-row seat to some gorgeous scenery (plus a bit of Italian-style bus driving drama). Timetables can be found online or at the bus stops, and tickets are easy to buy at newsstands, tobacconists, or even on the bus itself (though it’s a little pricier if you wait until you’re on board). So if you’re up for a low-stress, budget-friendly adventure, grab a ticket, snag a window seat, and let someone else tackle those winding lakeside roads.
