Airports
There are a few airport options depending on where you’re flying from: San Luis Obispo Airport (SBP) – The closest option. It’s a small and super easy airport with direct flights from LA, San Francisco, Phoenix, Denver, and Dallas. Santa Barbara (SBA) – About 1.5-2 hours south. Southwest Airlines flies into here and its a beautiful, easy coastal drive up to SLO! San Jose (SJC) – About 2.5–3 hours north. Good option for more inexpensive flights and if you’d like to see the Bay Area or Big Sur along the way. San Francisco (SFO) or Oakland (OAK) – Larger airports with more flight options, about 3.5–4 hours north. Los Angeles (LAX) – Around 4 hours south. Works well if you want to tack on some time in LA before/after the wedding.
Rental Car
Getting Around
We highly recommend renting a car! The Central Coast is spread out, and having your own set of wheels makes it easy to get to the wedding events, visit wineries, and explore the area. Uber/Lyft are around in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, but not always reliable (especially out in wine country), so a rental car will make your trip much smoother.

Where to Stay
There are plenty of great places to stay throughout SLO County. Along with hotels, we recommend checking out Airbnb and Vrbo for unique options. While there isn’t one specific hotel where guests will be staying, there are lots of wonderful choices in the area! From charming vineyard guest homes and cozy cottages to cute houses tucked into town, you’ll find plenty of spots with character. Paso Robles, Atascadero, and Templeton are the closest towns to the wedding, while San Luis Obispo (Jonah and Olivia’s home) is just about 25 minutes away from the venue and offers lots of great options too. If you’d like to make your trip more of a beach getaway, nearby coastal towns like Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, Cayucos, and Cambria are definitely worth exploring.
