Jacqui and Jonah met at a friendsgiving in 2021 hosted by Jonah's roommate and Jacqui's high school friend, Michelle. Thinking Jonah was cute from the start, Jacqui strategically switched places at the dinner table to make sure she and Jonah were seated next to each other. They talked the entire night, finding they had a lot in common and enjoyed each other's company. Unfortunately, Jacqui left the party before Jonah could ask her out so the next day Michelle texted Jacqui to come get the beer she had left at the house. Michelle said she would not be home but her roommate Jonah could let Jacqui in (of course). As Jacqui was grabbing her beer out of the garage Jonah asked her on a date, they exchanged numbers and the rest is history!
