What is the dress code?

Answer

Beach Cocktail or Beach Formal. Please see dress code page for examples and suggested colors. For men, this may include light-colored suits or khakis paired with button down shirts. For women, semi-formal or cocktail dresses, suits, or jumpsuits. Please feel free to choose attire that reflects your personal comfort and style. These are only suggestions, and you're encouraged to choose colors and styles already present in your wardrobe. As a note, the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception will be outdoors. The weather in La Jolla, California ranges from 65°-75°F in September.

Are kids allowed at this event?

We've made the decision that our wedding celebration will be for adults only. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and if you have any concerns or need assistance with local childcare options during the event, please feel free to reach out.

Will there be alcohol at this event?

Answer

Alcoholic beverages will be available for those who wish to partake. However, we completely understand and respect that not everyone chooses to consume alcohol and we will have non-alcoholic options at the bar and for the toasts.

Do I need to stay at the La Jolla Cove Hotel?

Answer

No, we tried to choose a location with lodging options for all budgets. If you'd like to stay at the La Jolla Cove Hotel where the wedding will be with us, we have a hotel block to help with costs. The day of the event there will be signs and assistance to guide you to the event space as well as parking on-site. Please see the "travel" page for more information on how to book with the discount code.

Will the bride be changing her last name?

Answer

The bride has decided to keep her last name, embracing it as a meaningful part of her identity. We appreciate your respect and support of her decision.

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

Wedding events will begin Saturday afternoon, but we would also love for you to join us Friday night for a welcome dinner and Sunday morning for casual brunch if your schedule permits.
